One last reminder that our 10 Year Reunion is tonight at 9 PM, Sluggers.

Who will show? Who will dance to a Will Smith song? Who will enjoy our special drink, The D100? Who will hang out in the batting cages all night?

Well...

The only thing for sure about this reunion...is that nothing is for sure!

A Marquee Evening Awaits

10 Years is upon us. Buy your tickets if you have not already, and spread the word to your friends, favorite teachers, coaches, significant others and anyone else that really likes purple. This is like Homecoming, Turnabout, Prom, International Night, Business Bakery, Spring Musical, and an Indo-Pak Club Meeting all rolled up into one. Do not miss out!

Reunion Night Starting to Take Shape

Everyone should know by now that our reunion on November the 28, will go from 9 PM until Midnight. Many attendees and curious undecided ticket buyers are wondering though, what goes into a $50 ticket, $60 Cash, at the door.

Well, I will help to elaborate.

The evening of enjoyment includes:

-An all you can drink 3 hour bar (9 PM to Midnight)

-An all you can eat 3 hour buffet (9 PM to Midnight)

-Our own private room, tastefully decorated

-Our own photographer, to capture all of the memories

-Our own DJ (NNHS' own Adrian Domingo), to drown out uncomfortable conversations

Sluggers, our gracious host will have extra staff for the evening as well, including: bartenders, food servers, security, etc.

There is no dress code, but if you have anything purple...well you get the idea.

Now for the actual events during the reunion...

We feel that this night should be about the guests, and not the hosts, so expect only a couple of quick speeches around the 10 o'clock hour and an attempt at a class photo. Music will be playing all night long, and we may try to put up a few surprises on the televisions to provide a nice distraction. Each attendee will have access to the entire bar, upstairs and down, the game room and the piano bar, and everything in-between. Let it be known; only those paying attendees will have access to our private room.

Homecoming 2008

Not to take any focus away from our big day on November 28, but...

Here is the official information on Niles North's 2008 Homecoming Celebration!

The Niles North Homecoming Committee would like to invite you to Vikings of the Sea Homecoming 2008. Come spend the day with us on Friday, October 10, 2008. There will be an alumni cookout set up for you to greet past teachers and old schoolmates from 5:30 pm through game time. The annual homecoming parade will start at 6:00 pm in the north parking lot and conclude at the football field before the varsity football game. All are encouraged to participate. The varsity football team will be competing against Maine East at 7:00 pm. Do not miss the halftime presentation featuring the award winning Niles North Show Band including songs from the decades. We will continue the exciting tradition of fireworks after the game, so stick around. We look forward to seeing you again at NILES NORTH!

Beginning this very moment, you can purchase your reunion ticket via Pay Pal. If you are not familiar with Pay Pal, it is very simple. Pay Pal is a safe and quick way to buy things online without exposing credit card or checking account numbers. It is free to use and the charge will show up as “NNHS1998” on your statement as if you bought something at The Double O.

Not to sound like an advertisement for Pay Pay, but this is really a great tool to help collect funds to show the fine people at Sluggers that we have people attending on November the 28, before the date arrives. You can also mail checks to me, email me direct for my address, hand me or anyone else on the reunion committee money the next time you run into any of us, or you can pay at the door for $10 more.

Remember, your significant other, your favorite teacher, your friend who wishes that they had a mod schedule…are all invited. You are welcome to buy more than one ticket, or purchase a spare in case your driver feels like joining in on the fun.

To encourage early payment, besides the reduced price, the first 20 classmates that purchase their tickets, will receive a special surprise gift to be received the night of the reunion! It could be an old gym leaders shirt, an error copy of our sophomore year yearbook, or perhaps an unused ticket to graduation. No matter what, it will be amazing!

Black Friday Turns Purple

The buzz began months ago and a Dream Team was created. A website and email address was next, a group on Facebook, MySpace, postings on Classmates and Niles North's own website continued. We reached out to as many classmates as possible with your help as well! So without further adieu, we are proud to announce that our 10 Year Reunion will take place November 28, 2008, at Sluggers. Catch your breath. If you need a map...

At the current time we can share these preliminary details.

-Admission will be $50 and include; all you can eat and drink for 3 hours in our own private room, access to every other part of the bar/restaurant including the Dueling Piano Bar on the 2nd floor, decorations, a personal DJ, other entertainment, memories to last another 10 years, and a few other surprises

-The tentative time for the event to start is 9 pm and all guests will be required to pay the $50 admission either prior to the event, check/PayPal, or at the door, for an increased price to be announced at a later date

-Classmates: graduates, transfers, and others, Faculty/Staff, Boyfriends/Girlfriends and Husbands/Wives of Vikings, Administration, and Members of the Creative Cooking Club will all be welcome and encouraged to attend with $50 being the price of admission

So many details will follow in the coming days, weeks, and months and there are still many missing classmates listed in the right column of this website, so please continue to help us out! We look forward to having a very memorable evening with as many Vikings as possible.
